Ragnarok Successor to the Throne Quest
I find the Ragnarok Successor to the Throne quest as yet another tragic quest. Tragic, because I feel sad for the friendship between Prince Ahrum and Ernst. Sometimes, we really have to sacrifice for the best.
The first part of the Successor to the Throne quest is the first part of the Ragnarok Continental Guard Quest as well. You have to complete the following.
1. Talk to any Continental Messenger in the following locations. He’ll relay a message to you and you have to go to Morroc to meet the Continental Officer
Prontera (164, 304)
Geffen (128, 90)
Payon (200, 113)
Alberta (128, 64)
Al De Baran (136, 138)
2. Talk to the Continental Officer in Morroc (176, 103). Tell him I’m here to volunteer. He will then direct you to go to Prontera Castle.
3. Talk to the Messenger in front of Prontera Castle (prontera 154, 353). Since King Tristam is already dead, they need someone to evaluate the seven princes for the new kingship position.
4. Go inside the Prontera castle. Head two north and you will find the Inspector (117, 163). He will evaluate your experience through your base experience. If your base experience is not sufficient enough, he will require 2 Reins from you. Give him the items
5. After the experience evaluation, he will test your abilities and personality with a quiz. Enclosed with red box are my answers. I am not sure with them but I passed the Ragnarok Successor to the throne quest quiz. You are free to express your own opinion.
6. When you passed the quiz, you are qualified to evaluate the others. You have to talk to seven princes that are successor to the throne and evaluate each candidate.
7. Go to the right portal (133, 154) then head up and you will find a guard. Talk to the guard (175, 170) to go to the rooms of the 7 Prince.
8. Go inside the first room that you see. Here you will find Prince. Talk to him and then his servant
9. Go to the second room and talk to prince inside. Do the same thing on the second, third, fourth and fifth room.

10. In Price Poe’s room, Prince Poe will ask you to play a guessing game, you have to guess whether the number he’s thinking is higher or lower than 7. I said higher twice and I’ve won 2/2. But I guess this would be random in the Ragnarok Successor to the Throne quest
11. At the seventh room, talk to Prince Peter and he will ask you to go to Alde Baran and give a girl a bouquet. Tell him Ok, no problem.
12. Travel to Alde Baran and give the girl (132, 184) the bouquet.
13. Go back to Prince Peter to get your Gift Box reward.
14. Talk to Prince Ahrum (third room). Tell him I have something…
15. Speak with Prince Ernst once again (fifth room)
16. In Prince Ahrum’s room, you will find that he’s talking to Prince Ernst. The two are conspiring to become co-kings of Midgard, and if one has turned corrupt, the other should kill him. After Prince Ernst leave the room, talk to Prince Ahrum.
17. Head downstairs and go to the room (221, 343). Once you get near this area, you will hear two people conspiring to kill Prince Ernst so that Prince Ahrum would be the successor to the throne.
18. Tell Prince Ahrum what you have learned and he will be upset and you will be warped out of his room. Whenever you go near his room, a message would appear and it seems like he’s talking to himself.
19. Talk to Prince Ernst again and tell him about Prince Ahrum.
20. Go near Prince Ahrum’s room and you’ll overhear his voice. If you try talking to him again, he’ll warp you out of his room.
21. Report to the Inspector what you have learned about the Prince. The Inspector will then ask you to check out on Prince Ahrum because he’s hearing some rumors that he would not let pass because choosing the successor to the throne is a very crucial task.
22. Go back to each of the Prince’s room except Prince Ernst’s. Click on Ahrum and hear him talk to the other prince.

23. After you go to all of the other prince’s room, go to Prince’s Ernst.
24. Head over to Prince Ahrum’s room and you will see Ernst too. Ahrum is asking Ernst to kill him because he does not like what he has become. He wants Ernst to fulfill their promise to each other that when once has gone corrupt, the one will kill the other. Ernst hesitated at first, but eventually agreed. Prince Ahrum’s dying wish is for you not to react wrongfully about the incident, answer …Okay, I will follow your will. He wants Ernst to become the king.
25. Prince Ahrum passed away.
26. Report back to the inspector what happened. He will thank you for your help and reward you with base experience depending on your level.
- Level 80: 300,000
- Level 81-84 - 500,000
- Level 86-90 - 450,000
- Level 91-95 - 500,000
- Level 96-98 - 550,000
- Level 99 - 1,100,000
The base experience rewards on Ragnarok Successor to the Throne quest are only estimation so it would be best if you share how much experience you got from this quest.

I have a quick question. I’m currently on step 20, but when I report back to the inspector (I already overheard Arum and talked to Ernst), he kept saying “Have you reviewed all of the princes?”. The inspector didn’t say anything abour rumors. Could this be an error?

and i talked to the officer, he said that there is nothing new and kept telling me to carry on the current mission…

You have to do the Continental Guard Quest first, it’s the prerequisite.. The same thing happened to me xD That I couldn’t find the messanger..

hi there. im from pro new chaos. just finished the quest. im lvl 93 monk. the quest gave me 4% exp.
btw, you dont have to do the continental guard quest, its not pre requisite.XD

anne it is a prerequisite..i’ve tried doing the quest but i started with the continental guard quest needing to have a party & defeating satan morroc…

You can skip the part where he asks you if you talked to everyone, just go in toe rooms and they’ll be there, talking.
